Time Event
Oh linux
I was mentally prepared to battle with kernel modules and patches to get a DVD burner working.

For X-mas I got a LiteOn External USB2.0 double layer DVD-+RW Burner, then plugged into the USB port, and then just ran k3b, and everything was ready to go.

No sweat, mang.
Palm Zire solution
I've seen posts here and there from people desperately trying to get their new Palm pilots to sync with their Linux boxen.

Lucky me, I got a new Zire 72 for that insignificant recent winter holiday, and was actually able to get it synchronizing more easily than I expected, but it took a lot of googling, a little experimenting, and a touch of luck. So hopefully documenting it will be useful for somebody else.

Now I just need to figure out how to convert the .jpg.pdb files from the camera into normal .jpg files... :)

Current Mood: geeky
Hi all. I just got a Nokia-3660, and it came with a USB cable, with a
weird connector on the other end that plugs into the phone. Being the
curious type, I plugged it into my laptop running Slackware-10.0, to see
if I got anything out of it. Has anyone been able to squeeze anything
out of the phone i.e., mount the phone so to speak?
