This isn't exactly a linux question, but I'm planning on running linux on this system if I buy it... Anyway, my question:

What's your experience been with factory refurbished laptops? Good as new? Or steer clear?

I'm thinking of getting a HP Pavilion ZE4420us Notebook (Athlon XP-M 2200+, 256MB DDR, 40GB HDD, 8xDVD, 56k, 10/100) Ethernet for ~$775. Only catch is that it's refurbished, and being ordered over the web I can't exactly test the thing out before I take it home.

Would you buy this machine if you were in the market for a laptop?
