|KVM switch and wheel mouse
Hrm, I have quite an odd problem with my KVM switch: I run a wheel mouse under linux that I have mapped via xmodmap that doesn't function once I switch to another computer and back via KVM. My mouse wheel works fine in linux, however, once I switch to another work station on my kvm hub and back to the linux workstation the wheel mouse refuses to work. I'm totally boggled as to why.
I'm using a logitech mouseman ps2 wireless mouse, any ideas? Thanks.
For the few of you that don't know, there's another Windows e-mail worm going around called myDoom which is spreading at a high rate. Apparently the goal of the worm is to DDoS SCO, just about every Linux user's worst enemy at this point.
What do you think? Is this a real Linux user that's created and spread this worm, or do you think it's just someone trying to make us look bad and confirm the stuff that SCO claims? Maybe you got your own theory. Regardless of who did this and why, it's sad to see people still using DDoS attacks, no matter the victim. Current Mood: curious
I have Mandrake 9.1 and was wondering how I could tell it not to Prob eth1. I have two Ethernets in my computer and the eth1 doesn't have any connection going into it, so Mandrake takes like litterally 2 minutes to prob. Just takes away my time in doing something lol. I just want to prob the eth0 which it does, just take away the eth1!!!
Thank you :)

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm unable to figure out how to get my SoundBlaster Live card to do 5.1 output and right now the only sound I get is from the LF and RF speakers. I can't even fade from front to rear. I'm using the emu10k1 driver built in to my 2.6 kernel in Gentoo.
Also, what is a good utility for ripping ISOs (that actually work when burned to a CD-R preferably) for backup onto a harddrive and/or CD-Rs? I've got some old games that I want to rip, then burn backup copies of them so I can store my original cds where they won't get scratched. Thanks in advance for the advice. :)
