Time Event
To make things easier...

Simply traded in my GeForce2 MMX for an ATi 7000 Pro. Let's see how OpenLinux deals with it now.
RedHat 8.0
If any of you are able to get the ISOs for RedHat 8.0 I can host a LiveJournal mirror of them on my DS3 line. If you have the images and are willing to upload them to my FTP let me know and I'll post them so everyone can have access to them. Right now the mirrors seem pretty swamped.
Slapper Virus
Help... how do I tell if my linux box is infected with Slapper...

my ISP called to say I was denying inbound UDP and that I appear to have been infected with the Slapper virus... ????

Any clue would be much appreciated...
Slackware vs SB 128 PCI
Hmm..i've failed to configure Creative 128 PCI sound card under Slackware.
I've rebuilded the kernel (2.4.18) adding module es1370.But when it goes I get

bash-2.05a# modprobe es1370
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/sound/es1370.o: init_module: No such device
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/sound/es1370.o: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/sound/es1370.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/sound/es1370.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/sound/es1370.o: insmod es1370 failed

So wtf? What am i doing wrong?!
