Time Event
10:23p
it speaks to me...
Every night around 12:15 a.m., I start hearing that annoying hard drive churning sound. It thrashes for like 7 minutes and stops, which is odd because I hardly ever experience this in Linux at any other time. I've tried running top and looking for anything unusual but I can't see anything out of the ordinary except memory swapping. Is this a special SuSE 7.2 "feature" or something? Is my computer telling me it's bedtime? I don't really have a problem with it, it's just weird and I'm curious, I'm pretty sure it's swapping out memory but I didn't know it would do happen at the exact same time every day regardless of what I've been doing and when.
