|Out with Mandrake, in with Debian
I installed Debian last night and must say I love the packaging system. apt-get has to be one of the coolest utils I've seen. I've got LILO configured so I can now boot Win and Debian, but I did run into a problem: I cannot get X to find my mouse.
I have a USB Intellimouse optical. I've tried /dev/usbmouse and /dev/mouse. There was another device /dev/something/mice, but I can't seem to find it. This is the only hangup I have with my system right now. Any help would be appreciated.

I just commented on another journal:
Took about 20 seconds to set up: apt-get install followed by copying 10 lines into my .fetchmailrc. I haven't seen *any* spam since. Since I've started running it (around Feb. 27th, under a month ago), it's filtered out 119 spam messages (and incorrectly filtered an extra two non-spam messages, both of which were forwards that I didn't really mind missing).
Misc. trivia, from their site:
Some recent research has indicated that several ISPs find their incoming mail is between 30% and 50% spam, overall; and quite a few old-timers who've used the same address for years, get over 30 SPAMs a day.
