usb!
i finally got usb. it's taken _way_ too long.
i've beet trying to get usb working on this computer since i had the motherboard replaced. maybe i used usb-uhci then... now i'm usb-ohci.
it's no big change to all of you, i'm sure you do this all the time but well i'm really happy.
i finally got my 2 usb pointers working in debian (they were supported in the redhat installation, how embarrasing)
oh well here's how it works now (for my own records also):

kernel modules:
usb-ohci
mousedev
hid

configs:
added these modules to /etc/modules
gpmconfig -> gpm -m /dev/input/mice -t imps2; (repets on it's own, didn't pipe the data to /dev/gpmdata like it said it would but)
XF86Config-4 ->
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
strange huh? i thought gpm and X wouldn't run together... maybe the imps2 repeter is working after all.....
ah well i think that's about it.
oh did i mention i moved all my music to my spare 20 gig drive? music movies too... yay go me, now i can play with everything else and not worry about wiping them out.

Sharp Zaurus
Does anyone here own a Sharp Zaurus? If so, i know these things *look* cool but what can you do with it? I'm looking to buy one of these, but I don't know much about them. I have a few questions, hopefully they can be answered. Will they run most Linux software, or does it need to be ported? If the software needs to be ported, is there a good availability of software? Other then the built-in keyboard and color screen, what advantages does this have over a PalmOS handheld? How do you expand it? Does it have PCMCIA, serial, Ethernet, etc... port? I can mp3 on it, right? And where can I buy one of these offline? thanx.
