I came across a copy of Loki game's Alpha Centauri recently and have just done a fresh install. However, I keep getting the same error when I try to apply the 6.0a patch, no matter where I download it from.
The error is ./update.sh: line 60: 25059 Segmentation fault loki_patch --verify patch.dat
Anyone else come across this problem?

So, a "sh --keep" unpacks the whole deal, allowing me to download a new version of the loki_patch binary found here and replace the defective version. Running the extracted patch manually worked fine.

Re: Problems
I'm having the same problem - looking for a solution with google when I found this thread. Also, the same happens when trying to run Railroad Tycoon II. I have been suggested this is due to a "too new" glibc and to look for a way to install multiple versions on the same platform. But I have no answer to that. Do you ?
